It is the passion for garden railroading shared by all the Martins' family, including 3-year-old Cameron and 5-year old Alex, that motivated them to share this love with others through the development of AC Trains.
Al and Cynthia fell in love with G-scale while living in California. As you can imagine G-scale is very popular in California. As well, they developed a close relationship with an amazing store owner that only sold G-scale trains. Quality products, however at very reasonable prices. Since their move back to the "North", they just couldn't find the perfect balance between quality, price and relationship. Therefore, as they say necessity is the mother of invention... thus was created AC Trains.
As authorized dealers for many products, including Phoenix Sound, USA Trains, BridgeWerks, and Schleich, the company hopes to provide the Canadian market with some exceptional quality products at very competitive prices. For example, you can get Schleich figures for under CND$4/-.
No doubt, you will get a chance to meet the members of AC Trains, even Cameron and Alex are put to work, as they are members of COGRA. They have already meet a few that braved the awful rains on November 2nd for the annual meeting. They look forward to meeting everyone and hearing input from the members as to what they would like to see become available to Canadians.
